By Jennifer GertzJanuary 26, 2019 09:30:07A reporter for ABC News has been suspended following allegations she wrote a story about a $1.4 billion deal to sell a solar panel manufacturer, which ABC News says she did not review.ABC News said it would not name the reporter who made the allegations because of her ongoing employment.”ABC News is aware of allegations made by a former ABC News investigative reporter in relation to a story in ABC News, which is being investigated by the ABC,” ABC News said in a statement to ABC News.
“The ABC takes these allegations very seriously and takes any allegation of misconduct extremely seriously.
We are investigating this matter and will provide more details as soon as they are available.”ABC News reported the story in its January 26 edition of the News.
It is the second time in the past month that a reporter has been disciplined after her reporting was deemed “inappropriate” by the network.
In January, ABC News fired investigative reporter Jane Harman after she published a story that said she was concerned about the safety of an employee of a private security firm.ABC news has since been forced to apologize for the article.ABC did not name Harman, citing a policy that says names are confidential.
