Posted October 16, 2018 11:23:50This is the first type of commercial billboard in the Middle East to use LEDs, a new type that can mimic natural light to create stunning outdoor advertisements.
The billboard will also feature a real-time weather forecast on the top and an ad in Arabic, Hebrew and English.
The design was developed by a team of designers from the Dubai Design Bureau, including Fadi Al Fayed, who is an expert in outdoor advertising.
It’s one of the first commercial billboards to use a solar array, which converts sunlight into electricity.
“The ad will also be based on a real weather forecast,” says Fayed.
The technology is relatively new in the UAE, but it could become a powerful tool for local businesses.
It will be up and running in about a month, and the first signs of success are already being seen.
“We are very excited to see how it works,” says Al Faysay.
“There is a lot of hype surrounding this technology, so it’s good to see it getting off the ground.”
